Cordoba Argentina Dove Hunting

Dove hunting in Cordoba Argentina should be on every wing shooters bucket list.  The crew that we went with made the experience truly unforgettable.  We were pampered from the second our wheels touched down in Argentina until the second we left.  There were packed coolers full of food, water, soft drinks, and libations on every bus ride and in the field.  The amount of birds you shoot is only limited by your shell budget.  You will be provided with three 5 star meals per day, but expect to eat a lot of meat!  Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff outside the lodge provisioned with silver trays loaded with hor d’ourves and champagne flutes.  The food service only escalated from there.  After your morning shoot, lunch is provided in a nearby house or grilling area.  After lunch, you can either go back to shooting right away, or take a nap in one of the many hammocks provided by the staff and rest up for the afternoon shoot.  When the afternoon shoot is over, you are escorted back to the lodge for a massage or cocktail (or both).  Contact us for information on booking an exciting and unforgettable trip like this one.

Have you ever had a dispute, friendly or otherwise, about who that leg jewelry belongs to?  There is no reason you shouldn’t be able to prove you killed that bird on your next hunt. Spectrashot shotgun shells ($23-$125) dispel all doubt about who that band belongs to.  What color pellets are you going to shoot?  Although, lack of selection for shell and shot size and price may keep most hunters away.  They are limited to 3 inch 2 shot for waterfowl, one turkey load, and no upland loads.

Plotwatcher HD Surveillance Camera by Day 6

The Plotwatcher ($207) from Day 6 is a game changer.  With ordinary trail cameras motion sensors are used to tell them when to take a photo.  These motion sensors only capture game if it comes within about 40 feet of the camera.  That’s where the Plot Watcher differentiates itself.  It takes photos on a set schedule.  You can set it to take photos every 5 to 10 seconds from dawn till dusk.  The camera then condenses those images into a 10 minute long time lapse video.  You can simply watch what happens in your food plot or move frame by frame.  Imagine, a whole days worth of scouting in 10 minutes.  Maybe your stand isn’t in the right place if you are bow hunting.  With the knowledge this device provides, you’ll know exactly where you need to be.

Shed Time!

Dog bone shed antler system ($35). With hunting season near a close, it’s time to start looking towards spring. Shed hunting is a great activity for you and your sporting dog.  The Shed Antler Retrieving System by Dog Bone is a proven 3 step process to train your dog to find shed antlers. It is designed to allow its users to effectively “cross-train” previously trained retrievers and sporting dogs or young pups to hunt for and retrieve shed antlers. The antler dummies are made of the same material as other training dummies, enabling an easy transition in training to an object of a new shape with a familiar feel. The antler dummies are not only effective transition training tools, but also serve as a means to provide a safe, positive and pleasant introduction to the antler shape for pups and young dogs with sensitive smaller muzzles, eyes and nose’s. With the use of a few basic training methods and the proper tools, most dogs can be effectively trained to find sheds, increasing your odds of success exponentially. Kit includes dummy, training booklet and 2 oz. antler scent.
